Really GOOD sushi place and you get your money's worth for their lunch specials! Great service and take out was packed in s reusable bag!

This was my first time going here and everything was excellent. It sushi was made quickly and tasted very fresh! I would recommend this place to everyone.

Samurai has a combination of unique plating, excellent fish quality, and wonderful service. I'll let the photos in the review tell the story - this is a place you should strongly consider checking out. Every time I visit Sarasota, this will be a "must have."

We picked up food to go to take back to work for lunch and it. Is. Delicious. Such good value for the money!! Probably the least expensive option on Hillview! I got the Steak bento box and easily ate on it for lunch and dinner. Be sure to check it out so it stays in business!!

Stopped in to check out Samurai and had an enjoyable Saturday evening. There is free parking on Hillview. We sat at the bar which was very nice. We liked the ambiance, soft lighting and nice atmosphere with booths and tables and a sushi bar in another room. They have a full service bar. Jarod was the bartender and he was very attentive and pleasant. Our drinks were mixed perfectly! We ordered the dumpling soup, the duck bao and the cowboy roll. The soup was hot and flavorful with a good amount of dumplings. The cowboy roll was very good I would have liked a little more steak wrapped around but it was very good. The duck bao buns were so yummy , but could use just a little more duck on the bun ! We also ordered the saki flight which was a fun way to try the different flavors. And of course we had a dessert which was a very refreshing mango pudding. Overall an enjoyable night out and the prices were very reasonable. We will be back.

Does the food taste as good as the picture of my sushi sashimi lunch special? That would be a resounding yes. The lunch special was delicious. Fresh fish and beautifully presented. Service was excellent and the decor is clean and pretty. I'll be coming back for aure

Excellent food and beer reasonable prices I had a delicacy that I normally pay $15 for 2 PCs - I got 6 PCs ! What a treat Everything we had was very fresh and delicious - tempura , salmon appy, ugly roll, eel and eel and avocado We've been twice and had a really good experience both times

Outstanding and fully deserves the 5 stars. The service is friendly and attentive. The server was great in explaining the meal and wine options. The combination dishes are great for those who want to try a bit of several different dishes. The Sushi was perfectly made and very fresh. Overall a great meal. The interior of the restaurant is modern and clean. Great lighting too. Parking is in a busy area but with a bit a patience a spot can be found.

My husband and I decided to pay a visit as I work nearby and knew they had just opened. They did not disappoint. It's so esthetically pleasant, open and spacious. The full bar has a huge tv yet maintains an elegant feel to it. Plenty of areas to sit; a cute secluded area that caters to somewhat private groups, as you walk towards the sushi bar there's cute booths that fits up to 4 people. The Food :) plenty of options to choose from. Just so fresh and delicious. My husband had Chicken and Shrimp Hibachi and I had the "Amazing Roll". The Ginger Salad & Duck Bao were out of world. The staff is very attentive, welcoming and friendly. Can't wait to go back to visit.
